INDIAN PLAYERS TRAINING TO
RESUME NEXT WEEK
· NCA Bangalore is in full preparation to resume Indian players training
There might be a possibility that Indian players might resume their
full training as Board of Control for Cricket in India [BCCI] has permitted them
to join next week at National Cricket Association [NCA].
Certain players such as Indian skipper VIRAT
KOHLI and his deputy ROHIT SHARMA may not be able to attend the training
sessions as they are stranded in Mumbai under a strict lockdown, reckons BCCI
treasurer Arun Dhumal.
He also added that National Cricket Association in Bangalore is in full
swing with their preparation to conduct training sessions as well as follow the
norms of Covid-19. Also said that BCCI is regularly in touch with all the
players through an app and online modes.
Treasurer also said “The
coaches and support staff are regularly in touch with the players. Everybody
would be keen to hit the ground and the idea is whenever we are ready for
cricket to resume, they (the players) are able to give their 100 percent,”
When asked about Indian Premier League [IPL], which has been suspended
indefinitely, he replied there is no clarity about it and his is in no position
to answer it.
Indian team was about to tour Sri Lanka after the conclusion of IPL but
the tour of Sri Lanka is also under the scanner and no confirmation weather it’s
gonna happen or not.
